Ready to meet yourself again?
A week of surf, yoga, therapy, and real change.
7 nights, 8 days
March 27 - April 3, 2027
Tamraght, Morocco
This is for you if…
You're tired of going through the motions. Smiling at work, saying you're fine, then lying awake at 2am wondering if this is really it.
Maybe you're dealing with anxiety, stress, or burnout. Maybe you can't even name it yet, but you just know something needs to change.
You don't need a diagnosis to be here. You don't need to have it figured out either. You just need to be open to doing something different.
Most people who join us come solo. Ages range from late 20s to 60s. What everyone has in common is they're done waiting for things to feel better on their own.
Led by neuropsychologist Djai Baaten and a team of certified psychologists. Over 100 people from 15+ countries have joined a Ripple retreat.
What people walk away with
A way to handle the thoughts that have been running the show. Not by fighting them or pushing them away, but by learning to relate to them differently. You'll leave with practical tools you can actually use when your head tries to steal the show again.
Clarity on the patterns that have been keeping you stuck. The ones you half-know are there but haven't been able to see clearly enough to do something about. When you step out of your daily routine and into a week like this, those patterns become visible in a way they never could back home.
A different relationship with yourself. Less of the constant self-criticism, the second-guessing,
the voice that says you're not doing enough.
More of the version of you that knows what matters and acts on it.
Real connection with people who get it. Not surface-level small talk. The kind of
conversations that happen when a group of strangers decide to be honest with each
other for a week. Many of our participants stay in touch long after the retreat ends.
Some have become close friends.
And something harder to put into words: a feeling of calm that you forgot was available to you.
The sense that you can actually handle what life throws at you, not because everything is
suddenly easy, but because you've remembered what you're capable of.
These are not just empty words, we’ve seen it happen time after time, and we’re sure that it will benefit you too!
How it works
The Ripple program is built on four things that work together. None of them alone would be enough. Yet together, they create something that's hard to replicate back home.
Therapy: Every retreat includes group sessions and psychoeducation guided by certified psychologists. We use ACT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you change your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. This isn't lying on a couch talking about your childhood. It's learning how to stop letting old patterns run your life, and how to start moving toward what actually matters to you.
Surfing: You don't need to know how to surf. Most people who come to Ripple have never been on a board. That's kind of the point. Surfing puts you in a situation where you can't overthink. You can't control the ocean. You have to be present, let go, fall, and get back up. It mirrors the exact work we do in the therapy sessions, except you're laughing and covered in salt water. All sessions are led by professional instructors and adapted to your level.
Yoga and mindfulness: Daily practices to slow your nervous system down and get you back in your body. Nothing performative, no pretzel poses. Just simple, grounding movement and breathing that teaches you how to find calm when everything around you is noisy. You'll learn techniques you can take home and actually use.
Community: Something happens when a group of strangers decides to be honest with each other for a week. Walls come down. The mask you wear at work, at home, in your social life, it gets to come off. People often say the group is what surprised them most. You'll be surrounded by others who are also here to grow, and that shared vulnerability creates bonds that last well beyond the retreat.
What people say
"I didn't expect it to impact me as much as it did. I was genuinely blown away by the program, the tools, and the insights I gained. The week was filled with depth, laughter, meaningful conversations, and lovely people. It truly felt like something special." — Esmee, Amsterdam
"I can honestly say I left a changed person. I have a new group of friends that feel like family, a new mindset, and tangible tools to help me continue. I wish I could take home each therapist as my own." — Sarah, United States
"I've done therapy for years and it helped, but something about doing the work while surfing and being in nature made things click in a way that talking alone never did. Djai and his team are amazing, you'll be in good hands." — Lisa, Berlin

We'll be based on Morocco's Atlantic coast, just north of Agadir. Taghazout is the kind of place where time moves differently. Rolling hills meet the ocean, the light is golden by 4pm, and the sound of waves is constant. It's quiet, spacious, and about as far from your daily routine as you can get.
Our home for the week is the regions oldest surf house. A beautifully designed place that breathes Moroccan lifestyle, right on the beach! Elegant interiors, handwoven textiles, peaceful terraces with views stretching out to sea, and a pool with the sound of the Atlantic in the background. The rooms are simple and comfortable. The shared spaces are where the magic happens.
What a day looks like
Your morning starts with yoga as the sun comes up. Nothing intense, just enough to get you out of your head and into your body. Then breakfast together, which tends to turn into long, unhurried conversations.
Mid-morning you're in the water. Surf sessions run for about three hours with professional instructors who adapt to your level, whether that's standing up for the first time or working on your turns. There's something about being in the ocean that strips everything back to basics. You can't overthink a wave.
After lunch, the deeper work begins. Afternoon group sessions are where the real shifts tend to happen. Guided by our psychologists, these are honest, structured conversations about the patterns, beliefs, and habits that keep you stuck. This is where the surf metaphors stop being metaphors.
Early evening is mindfulness training, a chance to land everything from the day. Then dinner together, and the rest of the night is yours. Sunset walks along the cliffs, reading on the terrace, or staying up late talking with people who, by this point in the week, feel less like strangers and more like people who actually get you.
A week in Morocco
Meet your host
Hi, I'm Djai.
I'm a neuropsychologist, therapist, and the founder of Ripple Surf Therapy.
I started Ripple because I wanted to do things differently. I've spent years in therapy rooms helping people navigate anxiety, burnout, addiction, trauma and disconnection. All that time, I kept seeing the same thing: people don't just need more insight. They need space. Movement. Real connection. And maybe most importantly, the chance to put what they learn into action instead of just talking about it.
Understanding is only one part of the puzzle. It's not enough to make change happen.
That's what Ripple is. A place where therapy meets the real world. Where the work isn't just talked about, but lived. Where psychology becomes practical, grounded, and relevant to your actual life.
I don't do this alone. I work with a small, dedicated team of certified psychologists, each personally vetted and trained in ACT. They bring the same care, depth, and honesty that Ripple was built on. Together, we're there to guide the group sessions, lead the mindfulness work, and walk alongside you throughout the week. Whether that's in session, over breakfast, or watching the sunset after a surf.
If you're ready, I'd love to see you in Morocco.
– Djai

Questions we get a lot
Do I need to know how to surf? No. Most people who join us have never been on a board. Our instructors work with complete beginners every week. Surfing at Ripple isn't about performance, it's about getting out of your head and into the moment. You'll be surprised how quickly it clicks.
Is this actual therapy? Yes. Our group sessions and psychoeducation are led by certified psychologists trained in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). This isn't a wellness retreat that borrowed some therapy language. It's a clinically grounded programme designed by a neuropsychologist. That said, you don't need a diagnosis or a therapy history to join. It's for anyone who's ready to do the work.
What if I'm nervous about the group? Good. That means you care. Almost everyone feels nervous before they arrive, and almost everyone says the group was the thing that surprised them most. We keep it small (max 15 people), we do a 1:1 intake before the retreat so we know where you're at, and the psychologists are there to hold the space. You don't have to share anything you're not ready to share.
Can I come alone? Most people do. You won't be the only one.
Can I pay in installments? Yes. A 20% deposit secures your spot, and the balance is due 30 days before the retreat. If you need a different arrangement, just mention it on the call. We'll work something out.
What's not included? Flights to Agadir Airport and airport transfers (€75, we can arrange this for you). Everything else, accommodation, meals, surf, yoga, therapy, aftercare, is covered.

We care deeply about the experience of each person who joins. To make sure Ripple is the right fit for you (and that you’re a good fit for the group), we ask everyone to apply through a short call. This helps us create the safest, most supportive space possible for deep work, real connection, and lasting change.
During the call, we’ll talk about where you’re at, what you’re hoping to get out of the retreat, and whether this program is aligned with what you need right now. You’ll also get the chance to ask any questions and feel out if Ripple feels right for you.
If you decide to join, a 20% deposit secures your spot. The full balance is due 30 days before the retreat—and if you need a payment plan or extra flexibility, just ask. We're happy to work with you.
Spaces are limited and the group stays small. Once it’s full, it’s full.
I’m in, how do I join?
